Welcome

Retreat 2020

The ordering of our world means that every year ends with an extra one-quarter of a day, hours that eventually add up and result in Feb. 29 on our calendars. We are given this tiny bonus — like a fifth Sunday or a special assembly, we know it’s coming, but Leap Day remains an odd and wonderful gift. It is the extra day we always claim that we need.

This year, on Leap Day (Saturday, Feb. 29), Presbyterian Women is sponsoring a one-day retreat for the women of the congregation beginning with breakfast and ending after lunch at the IHM Retreat Center in Bryn Mawr. There is no cost for the retreat, but we do ask that you register as soon as possible by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Retreats create a unique space to explore our faith, both individually and communally. They also create an environment where we can practice our faith, learning new skills or honing ones we may have put aside. This year we will focus on seeking God in our daily lives. How can prayer, fellowship, service and intention help keep our eyes open to the work of God in our lives and in the lives of those we love? How can spiritual practices be incorporated into our already busy schedules?

Divided into three sessions, each session will include time for discussion and reflection. I am honored to be leading this retreat and sharing resources for our personal faith journeys. The schedule is listed below.

Whether you are able to join us on the 29th or not, I pray that this Leap Day is a gift, the time you need to connect to God, community and self. Presbyterian Women has a number of ongoing small groups and study groups meeting throughout our church. If you are interested in joining an existing group or would like to help get a new group started, please contact me (This email address is being protected from spambots.
