Welcome

Thanks for Pancakes

It’s Thanksgiving morning. You’re going to be cooking all day, everyone is staying at your house, including Uncle Bob who never seems to understand that everyone doesn’t want to hear about his latest medical procedure. This day is going to take a lot of energy and effort, and you just need to take one thing off your plate.

And what is that thing you can take off your plate so you can have a modicum of calm throughout the day? Breakfast for the whole family!

Every year our BMPC youth put on the Thanksgiving Pancake Breakfast – a youth fundraiser for summer missions and retreats! For $5 a person or $20 a family, you and your beloveds can come and have all-you-can-eat-pancakes, coffee, tea, and more, all made for you by our fantastic teenagers and their families!

These “pancakes for a purpose” will go toward supporting our teenagers this summer as we travel to Papalotla, Mexico, to learn from our mission partners at Urban Mosaic. Located on the outskirts of Mexico City, we will be staying in a wonderful retreat center where students can spend time with God and one another. While there, we will work with local leaders and the Urban Mosaic staff in regions of Mexico City to discover how we, as young people from the United States, can contribute to the healing and transformation of individuals and families living in urban poverty.

Our Thanksgiving Pancake Breakfast will be a wonderful time of fellowship, deliciousness, and fun! All are welcome to this fundraising event from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on November 28 in Congregational Hall!

May God bless us all with gratitude in this holiday season. May we ever remember that we are blessed to be a blessing in this world – and, that pancakes are delicious.
