This coming Friday night, the BMPC Youth Ministry will be taking our middle schoolers to see the Disney Pixar movie Onward. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 86 percent and 100 percent from audiences, the Middle School Movie Night is sure to be a delight!
Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney and Pixar’s Onward introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there. Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new original feature film is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae — the team behind Monsters University.
The movie centers around two brothers' quest to bring their deceased father back to life for 24 hours. Navigating themes of loss, growing up, and family, with the quintessential emotionality and humor of Disney Pixar, the BMPC Youth Ministry is inviting fifth to eighth graders to spend a night at the movies! Each year, BMPC Youth Ministry hosts various events like this for community and relationship building among our teenagers, families and volunteers. Movie nights, Sunday brunches and epic games of Dodgeball are just a few of the successful affairs we've offered in 2019 and 2020. We are excited to continue being a space where kids are welcome, seen, and can be young people for a few hours.
