Join the BMPC Children’s Choirs! 


We’re building a joyful, faith-filled music community for kids and youth of all ages—from our youngest singers in Pre-K through 1st grade, to our Choristers program for 2nd–5th graders, and exciting opportunities for middle and high school students, too! 

Music is a vital part of spiritual formation at BMPC. Our Children’s and Youth Choirs, also known as Choristers, nurture young voices while helping them grow in faith, confidence, and leadership.

Junior Choristers (Pre-K – Grade 1)
Wednesdays, 5:00–6:00 p.m., Education Building

  • Led by Devon Bakum & Kiki McKendrick, these young musicians will learn about the worshipping rhythm of our church, coupled with songs and age-appropriate activities that teach rhythm and pitch, and begin to build familiarity with singing.

Choristers (Grades 2–5)
Wednesdays, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (with Piano Class before or after rehearsal), Fine Arts Center

  • Led by James Kealey & Mitchell Miller; Choristers will prepare to sing monthly at 10:00 a.m. worship, in addition to special events throughout the year (4:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, etc.), learning new and familiar anthems, with the opportunity to enroll in free group piano lessons in our new piano lab, located in the Fine Arts Center each week.

Senior Choristers (Grades 6–12)
Wednesdays: 6:00 p.m. - 6:40 p.m. (with Piano Class before rehearsals), Fine Arts Center

  • Led by Mitchell Miller, BMPC's new Assistant Director of Music and Fine Arts, the Senior Choristers will prepare to sing at 10:00 a.m. worship and special events throughout the church year, including singing with the Choristers and Sanctuary Choir on occasion. They'll learn new and familiar anthems, with the addition of piano classes for those in grades 6-12 before rehearsal on Wednesdays.

 

Free Group Piano Lessons for Choristers

Choristers (Grades 2-5) are invited to participate in free group piano lessons in our brand-new piano lab! Lessons are available either 30 minutes before rehearsal (Piano Class A: 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or 30 minutes after rehearsal (Piano Class B: 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.), depending on what works best for your family’s schedule. 

Senior Chorister (Grades 6-12) piano lessons take place before their rehearsal from 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
