To ensure the safety and well-being of our youngest members, all volunteers must complete the Child & Youth Protection Clearance Process. Please follow the instructions below to complete the necessary requirements.

Who Needs to Complete What?

  • Adult Volunteers (age 18+) – Complete Steps 1 through 4
  • Youth Volunteers (under 18) – Complete Steps 1, 3, and 4

Our Policy

STEP 1: Volunteer Application Form

Choose the appropriate application based on your role:

STEP 2: Required Background Clearances (Adults Only)

All adult volunteers must have current clearances (within 3 years). Submit existing clearances to Mary Richards

1. PA Criminal History Record Clearance

2. PA Child Abuse History Clearance

3. Federal FBI Clearance

After submitting these clearances, complete the Exemption Certification Form


STEP 3: BMPC Protection Training (All volunteers)

Complete the BMPC Child & Youth Protection Training. Training must be renewed annually. In-person is preferred for first-time volunteers. We also offer an online training option through Google Classroom.


STEP 4: Certification and Consent Form

Once you've completed your application and training, please fill out the required acknowledgement form
