Parish Social Worker
BMPC’s Parish Social Worker provides compassionate support to church members by listening, evaluating situations, assessing needs, identifying community resources, and suggesting options. Our Parish Social Worker may help with:
- Finding community resources for yourself or a loved one
- Assessment, information, or education on a topic of psychosocial concern
- Support while grieving a loss
- Support for life transitions
- Concerns related to caregiving (of partners, parents, or children)
On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, our Parish Social Worker visits members in their homes or meets with them in the Caring Ministries office.
All communication and conversations between the Parish Social Worker and members are confidential, consistent with the standards of social work and pastoral care. No information will be divulged to staff, congregation, family, or other health care professionals without the expressed consent of the member.
