Westminster Symphonic Choir Concert
Westminster Symphonic Choir Concert
Sunday, February 22 | 4:00 p.m. | Sanctuary
The 60-voice Westminster Symphonic Choir, led by Donald Nally, presents Begetter and Begotten, a rich choral program exploring parenthood, legacy, and reverence. From Our Father to Hail Mary, Mother Earth to Mother Teresa, the concert traces maternal and paternal metaphors through works both historic and contemporary.
The hour-long journey features Stravinsky and Duruflé’s portrayals of fatherhood, Vasks and Biebl’s tributes to motherhood, and reflections on parenting from Brahms and Ted Hearne. With vibrant harmonies and global soundscapes, the program honors the complexity and beauty of our most foundational bonds.
