Summer Camp and Mission Trips
Mission trips and camp are the highlight of Youth Ministry during the summer at BMPC. Through our mission trips in July, we offer the opportunity to experience a different environment while helping those in need. Our annual camp (Camp Kirkwood) is a sleep-away week in August in the Poconos–a vibrant BMPC youth ministry tradition with volunteer adult and alumni leaders who look forward to this time away as much as the students. These summer events are a lot of fun and a great chance to enjoy time with old friends and make new ones while growing in relationship with God.
7/9-13: Middle School Mission Trip: Broad Street Ministry, Philadelphia. Online registration. Registration form.
So much more than your average mission trip! An opportunity for youth to engage their faith in educational service experiences related to prevalent social justice issues. The goals are to spark curiosity, to identify ways in which Holy Scripture calls for justice and love for all, and to stimulate conversations for lifelong service and discipleship.
7/23-29: High School Mission Trip: Crownpoint, New Mexico, a Reservation Mission Trip. Online registration. Registration form.
One-in-four Native Americans are living in poverty. In July 2017, the BMPC Youth Ministry will take action by traveling to Crownpoint, NM and partnering with the Navajo Nation Reservation. In collaboration with the local church, a construction project will help improve the living conditions for a family living on the reservation. High school youth and adults will work in a hands-on way to share Christ’s love with our Native American brothers and sisters.
8/6-12: Camp Kirkwood, Stroudsburg, PA. Online registration. Registration form.
Kirkwood is not just a week away in the Poconos... It’s a week full of fun, friends, and faith! There are opportunities for archery, arts and crafts, high ropes, and free time to hang out with friends. With worship and small groups, Camp is the best week of the summer!
