Fitness Offerings

BMPC offers fitness classes to help you feel better, look better, and meet new friends. Review the schedule and pick one that’s right for you. Not all classes are meeting in person due to COVID-19.

  • Repose Yoga: Tuesdays, September - May, 9:00–10:15 a.m., Congregational Hall and via Zoom. This mixed level yoga class uses evidence-based movement and breath exercises to strengthen, stretch and feel better! Suggested donation of $10 supports the BMPC Hunger Committee. In-person students are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and wear masks. A virtual option will be available.   • Tai Chi: Tuesdays, 10:30-11:45 a.m., Congregational Hall and via Zoom. This 90-minute moving meditation complements all styles of exercise. Benefits include stress reduction, arthritis management, and balance and coordination enhancement. First class is free, then $20 per class or $60.00 per month.   • Dance for Parkinson's Disease (PD): Tuesdays, September 28 – December 15 and January 11 - June 14, 1:00-2:15 p.m., Congregational Hall. Two professional dance instructors integrate movement from modern, ballet, tap, folk and social dancing to engage the minds and bodies of persons with PD and their care partners, creating an enjoyable, social environment for artistic exploration. All classes include both sitting and standing sequences and all are accompanied with music. Persons with PD pay $5.00 per class; care partners attend for free.   • Parkinson's Disease (PD) Support Group:  2nd & 4th Tuesdays, September – June, 2:30-3:30 p.m., Foerderer House. Free to persons with PD and care partners.
