Experience Interfaith Philadelphia

Experience Interfaith Philadelphia

Sunday, November 13
11:15 a.m.
Fullerton Room

Interfaith Philadelphia is an organization that has fostered conversations around faith and understanding for almost 20 years, and Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church is proud of its connection with them as a partner and founding congregation. Born out of the need for increased dialogue following the September 11 attacks, Interfaith Philadelphia provides opportunities for people of all ages and faiths to form connections, learn about and experience a diversity of faith traditions, and to speak when necessary with a unified voice against violence, injustice and discrimination.

On November 13 we will be joined by staff from Interfaith Philadelphia, including Sara Zebowitz, director of institutional advancement. Sara will share an overview of the expansive work of Interfaith Philadelphia, highlight the ways that BMPC has partnered with them, including as one of the recipients of this year’s Eugene C. Bay Fund for Urban Ministry to support their work with youth. Their staff also will lead us in an experience of dialogue as they give us a hands-on understanding of what it means to be in conversation across traditions, experiences, and world views.
