There
are many ways to help with the BMPC Youth Program. If you are
interested in using your gifts to help us further our ministry,
contact Lindsey.
Secret Saints: Every fall many
of our members leave Bryn Mawr Presbyterian to start new
adventures in college and boarding school. For many students,
transition into college or boarding school may be difficult. As
a church, we should remind them that there is a loving and
supportive group of people back home who are there for them. We
can support them through our thoughts and prayers, and now
through a program called "Secret Saints."
Students will be paired
with a "Secret Saint," a member or family from BMPC who will
"adopt" them for one school year. BMPC Secret Saints act as the
hands and heart of Christ and let our students know BMPC cares
through packages, cards, and most importantly, their prayers.
Students fill out a form which informs their Secret Saints about
their favorite foods, activities their involved in on campus and
how they spend their time. At the end of the year, the Secret
Saints reveal themselves to their students.
Any member of BMPC can
be a Secret Saint! Simply
download the form here and mail them into Lindsey Evans.
Forms are due to the church office by September 24th. For
questions, please contact Lindsey Evans, Youth Activities
Director.
Pray: This is something we can all do. Take
time to pray for our youth. They’re on an important step in
their faith journey.
Teach: We need teachers in our three Sunday
Classes. You don’t have to be a Bible scholar to help, just
willing to learn and grow with our youth!
Be a Youth Advisor:
We’re looking for regular
volunteers to help with our youth programming and special
events!
Join a Ministry Team:
Don’t have it in you to
sign up for a monthly meeting?
Join a short-term ministry
team organized around facilitating a particular project or
event. Possibilities include camp, Sunday School
curriculum, family events, youth alumni etc. We have
ministry teams for all our events, and program areas. Fill
out this form
so together, we can figure out
where you best fit in!
Be a Driver: Our off campus events often need
drivers!
