Campus Volunteers
- Gardeners:
A lawn service cares for the
lawn, but BMPC could use some perennial plantings and seasonal
color around the grounds. Work in a group to make our campus
more beautiful and keep it that way. Commitment: days or
evenings; garden tools provided. Contact:

Receptionist
to serve
as our Minister of First Impressions. Assist in greeting
visitors, answering phones and giving directions and info.
Training provided. Commitment: 2-4 hours once a week, M-F or
substitute as needed. Contact:

Help Feed the Hungry

Prepare
casseroles for homeless shelters.
Casserole tins and recipes are available across from Hunger
Committee freezers in the Ministry Center. Filled casserole tins
can be left in freezers for the Committee to deliver to homeless
shelters. Contact:

Casserole
Blitz Event: Join us in making nutritious and delicious
casseroles for Philadelphia food cupboards. For dates, contact
Bob Weber.

Donate
canned goods at Sunday worship. Food Baskets are
located in the church Narthex and the Chapel entrance to receive
donations of canned foods that will be delivered to emergency
food cupboards in Philadelphia and Chester. Contact:

Help
serve dinners at a West Philadelphia area soup kitchen from
5:45-7:00 p.m. on the following days: Mondays at
St. Agatha St
James, 38th and Chestnut;
Wednesdays, St. Agatha-St. James, 38th and Chestnut; Thursdays,
St. Mary’s Church, 3916 Locust Walk; Fridays, Woodland
Presbyterian Church, 42nd and Pine Streets. Contact:

Hunger
Envelopes:
Your contributions to the white Hunger Envelopes in the pews go
directly to for food in emergency food cupboards, homeless
shelters, and hunger relief organizations. Please give
generously for those who are hungry.
Worldwide Ministries

Interested in getting to
know our Mission guests?
We are creating a file of interested volunteers to call for the
following needs:
• Host
visitors in your home overnight
•
Transport visitors to and/or from the airport
•
Provide a meal for visitors in your home

volunteers who may be called when the need arises, contact

Help Older Adults

Drive
older adults to medical and other appointments through our
transportation program.

a Ride? For rides to medical appointment, call the church

Visit
homebound members of the church.

a cane or a wheel chair? Medical equipment is available
right here at BMPC for those in need.

Youth

Teach: We need teachers in our Middle School Sunday School Class and for our
Confirmation Class. You do not have to be a Bible Scholar to
help out; we just ask that you are willing to learn and grow
with our youth!

Be a Youth Advisor:
We need regular volunteers to
help out with our High School Bible Study on Wednesdays from
7:30-8:30 p.m., and our Youth Group held once per month on
Sundays from 11:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Join a Ministry Team:
We are always looking for volunteers to be involved with the
planning of our Thanksgiving Pancake Breakfast, Camp BMPC,
Mission Trips, Christmas Eve Alumni Party, and other Youth
Department-sponsored events.

meals or play games.

Christmas Angels project provides holiday gifts for infants,
children, teens and selected families served by Presbyterian
Children’s village. Check the Y-Group portion of the website for
updates of projects.
