BMPC goes 'green' by launching classes, activities, lectures, and worship services centered around an environmental theme. Our goal for the year is to focus on a churchwide commitment to the environment in order to preserve God's creation and make a difference.

Introducing BMPC’s 2009-2010 Churchwide Theme

"The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it." Genesis 2:15.

The verse above is one of many scriptural passages that lay out God’s plan of earth’s upkeep. This plan involves us. It requires our response to God’s palpable instruction to preserve the earth. A responsibility such as this one, both a blessing and a compliment, is one we cannot afford to mishandle. Just as we nourish and strengthen our spiritual lives, we must also tend to our physical realm in response to the incredible relationship we have with our maker.

This year BMPC presents the 2009-2010 churchwide theme, "In the Garden: BMPC Caring for God’s Creation." BMPC Staff and Session are excited to learn with the congregation and community, focusing on a churchwide commitment to the environment. Many programs, lectures, Bible studies, events, performances and more will be centered around this theme.
