BMPC Moving Forward....embracing our mission: HVAC

This page will allows us to keep the congregation up to date on the projects progress. Please look below to see the expected impacts.

At our Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 1, 2011, the congregation voted to approve a comprehensive campaign to support our mission both within and without the walls of our Bryn Mawr campus. In addition to a mission and outreach component, we will be doing work on campus to achieve efficiencies and resourcefulness of the buildings. Through God’s grace, we have been fortunate to inherent these buildings, the physical focal point of our mission, which allow us to succeed in our vocation as Christians.  The decades have taken their toll on these places and it is now our responsibility to take steps to ensure that they are here for further generations in the decades to come.

As you have heard from our Property Committee, we have embarked on the HVAC (heating and cooling systems) part of this journey. These systems are in effect the “circulatory systems” of these buildings, where our worship, fellowship and mission work begins. To ensure reliable heat next winter, there is an urgent need to renovate these systems, which are in some cases more than 80 years old.  The project we will unify the heating and cooling systems to provide greater efficiency, comfort and safety in the buildings and will help to minimize the current impact of our antiquated heating and cooling systems on the environment.
