| The JL Zwane Presbyterian Church and its Pastor, The Rev. Spiwo Xapile, are mission partners of BMPC. Situated in Guguletu, a Township east of Cape Town, South Africa, the Church has been an important witness to Jesus Christ for many years including an active role in the anti-apartheid movement (the effort to dismantle South African government and societal structures that kept blacks separate with very few rights or economic opportunities). Currently the congregation is a vital worshipping presence in the community as well as sponsoring a HIV/AIDS Ministries including education, hospice and advocacy. The congregation also sponsors after school programs for young people in the church and community. The Rev. Spiwo Xapile was a Missionary in Residence at BMPC in the mid nineties. The Rev.
