BMPC Liaison:
Mission:
The Pathways Project is a humanitarian organization that
promotes dialogue, research, analysis and action around development
issues in Mexico. Pathway’s mission is to facilitate ecologically
sustainable, culturally sensitive development through a combination
of scholarly exchanges, fellowships and direct hands-on
participation that honors human dignity and self-determination.
Chiapas, where Pathways is based, is the poorest and least educated
state in Mexico.
Volunteer
Opportunities:
Pathways welcomes delegations to visit Chiapas to explore
options for direct involvement, depending on the areas of interest
of those participating. It could mean helping build a rural clinic,
setting up home rainwater capturing systems, or providing design and
marketing expertise to artisans and agricultural producers. There
are hundreds of programs to choose from. Check the Pathways web site
store to purchase coffee and other items.
