Mission:
MBF exists to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ
through a healing ministry in partnership with the Presbyterian
Church (U.S.A.) It interprets and provides information about
international health concerns, raises funds to support international
health programs, recruits healthcare professionals and other
volunteers to serve in health related mission programs outside the
U.S., and share gifts of donated surplus medical supplies and
equipment with international partners.
Volunteer
Opportunities:
As a responsible charitable organization, MBF makes an active
effort to keep operating costs to a minimum, so that as much of a
donors gifts go to those in need as possible. In this effort
volunteers are highly needed and a very appreciated type of giving.
There are a number of ways volunteers can help: Advocates – Visit
churches and other organizations to help spread the word about MBF;
Administrative Volunteers – Help around our offices and warehouses
is always appreciated especially during busy times; Overseas
Short-Term Volunteers – MBF is currently in search of trained and
experienced healthcare professionals for its international
Short-Term Volunteer (ISTV) program.
Donations of
medical supplies are also needed – see web site for specific needs.
