The Weekday School was founded in 1963 to serve preschool children of the congregation and community. The Weekday School is a church-sponsored, non-profit, but self-supporting arm of the Educational Program of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. We believe children learn by experience and example, and we seek to provide a stimulating, safe, loving environment where each child can grow at his or her own pace.
In an atmosphere of trust and encouragement we are committed to helping children discover the joy of learning as they grow in confidence, competence, and awareness of God's love for them. In the philosophy of early childhood education, quality is defined by programming that is age appropriate and individual appropriate. Therefore, our teachers facilitate learning by recognizing the stages of development in preschoolers and providing enriching activities and a stimulating environment that advances each child's development.
We treasure each boy or girl as a child of God, and we strive to promote the growth of the whole child - social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.
