Transformational Travel to the Border

BMPC’s theme for 2010-2011 focuses on hospitality, and what it means as Christians to welcome all. On the U.S./Mexico border, these thoughts are lived out on a daily basis by our mission partner and recent Shaull Award recipient BorderLinks. BorderLinks is an international leader in experiential education that raises awareness and inspires action around global political economics, bringing people together to build bridges of solidarity across North and Latin American borders and to promote intercultural understanding and respect.

Join us this October for a transformational trip that explores issues of immigration, community formation, development, and social justice in the borderlands between Mexico, the U.S and beyond. We will travel to Borderlinks from October 18 - 22, spending time between Tuscon, Arizona and Nogales, Mexico. The total cost for this trip will be between $800 and $1000.

To reserve your place, complete the trip application form [insert link to form] and submit it along with a $520 deposit to the church office before September 19, 2010.

Worldwide Ministry's Mission Statement
We gratefully acknowledge that we are members of the Family of Jesus Christ and are called into his service:

  To nurture acts of proclamation, instruction, reconciliation, and healing by mobilizing and directing this congregation’s human and material resources

  To relate our Bryn Mawr Church family to the blessings and challenges of Christ’s work with brothers and sisters worldwide;

  And to cherish and share love, prayers, and God’s spiritual gifts with all people.
