April 9 & 10, 2010

Paula D’Arcy is an author, speaker and playwright.  Among her best-selling books are

Gift of the Red Bird, Sacred Threshold, and her latest, Waking Up to This Day.

Friday Evening, April 9, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Chapel

Spirituality for the Second Half of Life.

The great task of the second half of life is to live from a deeper love.  After years of setting goals, raising families and lending support to many endeavors, life presents the question, “Do I yet know how to love?”  Paula will reflect on what changes when we live a life guided principally by Spirit.

Saturday, April 10:  9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Waking Up to This Day

This is a call to be present to each moment.  Paula will explore the belief that as we awaken to our deepest self, we stop relating to life and to others primarily thorough expectation or through mind activity.  She will present some of the simple keys that help us see life, in all its seasons, as a great gift.  What are the changes that help us experience a deeper intimacy with ourselves and with others?  How are things different when we accept the simple power of life unfolding?

9:30 -12:30:   Presentation by Paula D’Arcy in the Chapel.

12:30 – 2:00:  Lunch in Congregational Hall.

Cost for lunch is $15; reservations are required by April. A book-signing will follow lunch.

2:00 – 3:00:    Closing presentation by Paula in the Chapel.

Both the Friday night and Saturday events are open to all.  The only charge is for lunch on Saturday. Books by Paula D’Arcy are available in the Book Center and also will be available for sale on Saturday, April 10.

 For further questions or to make luncheon reservations, please call: 610-525-0766; email:  mail@middletoncenter.org;
