PW Interest Groups
 

 

Crafts and Caring - an interest group which knits scarves, mitten and hat to support PW service projects (September 20, November 15, January 24, February 21, March 2, April 18, May 16, from 9:15- 10:45 a.m. in Gloucester). For information contact: Maryalice Stoltzfus at 610-527-3909.

Connections - a group interested in sharing time with other mothers with teenage children. They have several activities a year at museums, gardens and other local places.  For information contact: Kathy Stevens, 610-527-5666 or kpstevens@comcast.net.

 

Dimensions in Literature - a group for book lovers of all ages and interests. The book selections are very diverse, from ancient to modern classics, new best sellers, biographies, histories, and more. We welcome book suggestions from members. At each meeting, an expert leader provides a perspective, and then guides an invariably lively audience discussion on the book selection.

This group meets eight (8) times a year on the third Tuesday of the month in the Witherspoon Parlor. Enjoy coffee and conversation at 9:30 a.m. in Witherspoon Parlor for the Day Time Group with the book discussion to follow.  Or join the Evening Group in Converse House Parlor at 6:30 p.m. on the same day. (Bring a sandwich if you want.)  Join either of the group for all or some of these meetings. They provide a wonderful opportunity for dialogue and fellowship. Great Decisions - a world events discussion group formulated by the Foreign Policy Association in New York meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at Rosemont Presbyterian Village from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Great Decisions has been meeting since about 1957.  Each month a different topic is discussed.  A short movie is shown before the discussion and the Great Decisions book supplies valuable information for the discussion. For information contact Marilyn Irwin 610-527-6500 ext. 233 or Marilyn.Irwin@presbyinspiredlife.org. 

Horizon Bible Study - Held monthly in the Ballroom at Rosemont Presbyterian Village on the first Wednesday of the month beginning September 1, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.. The discussions are led by the Rev. Charles Grant, Associate Pastor for Senior Adults and Pastoral Care. The study this year is titled JOURNEYS THROUGH REVELATION. The title of Lesson one is - An Apocalyse, an Author, and a Witness - Read Revelation, Chapter One. All are welcome. Women’s Coffee Cup Bible - Coffee Cup Bible Study led by Rev. Susan B. Rice will be offered on Wednesdays beginning September 15 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., in Witherspoon Parlor. We will explore the joy that can be experienced when the church is united with one focus: seeing humanity’s needs and making known God’s solution in the person of Jesus Christ. Young Women’s Y Group - an interest group for women with elementary age or younger children, focusing on family and faith. Y Group meets the second Tues. of the month from 9:15-11:00 a.m..
