Library Hours
The Library is open whenever the Church is open. It is generally staffed on Sundays.

Library Check-out Procedure
The Library uses the Dewey Decimal system of cataloging. Locate the material you want in the card catalogue by searching by author, title or subject.

All materials except those in the Rare Books case may be checked out. Each item will have a checkout card in an attached pocket. Put your name and phone number (if not a member) and the date on the card and place it in the small blue box on the Librarian’s desk…instructions and policies are posted on the desk.

BOOKS, VIDEOS, AND DVDs may be checked out for one month.

AUDIOTAPES AND CDs
may be checked out for one week. Everything is renewable, provided we don’t have another patron waiting.

PERIODICALS may be borrowed There is no checkout procedure, simply return when finished.

Overdue Books
We do not fine for overdue books, but we will contact you at least three times. After that, we turn it over to God. He knows where you live.

Lost Books
We ask that anything checked out that is lost or damaged while in your care be replaced. If it cannot be replaced, we request a donation of $10 per item.

Library Book Drive
Converse Library always welcomes all donations of books, videos, CDs, DVDs and audiotapes on any subject. Any items not selected for the Collections will be donated to mission work or to Radnor Library for their twice-yearly book sales. We will even bring boxes to your home and pack up and transport your books…that’s why your Librarian drives a CRV. Or you can leave books on the desk in the Library on in the reception area marked “For Library.” Call Kat MacMurray at 610-935-7582 to arrange a pickup of books. We also accept videos, CDs, audiotapes and DVDs..

If you wish to donate a special book to the Collections in honor of someone, please check with the Librarian or the staff below to make sure we don’t already have the book. Bookplates with your choice of wording can be arranged on accepted memorial/honorary donations.

Chats-in-the-Stacks
From time to time we offer short programs on interesting subjects relevant to the Library’s collections on Sundays at 11 a.m. Contact us with any ideas!
