Position overview – The Associate Pastor for Congregational Life (APCL) will maintain a comprehensive focus on congregational life, supporting and nourishing the body of our church. The APCL will monitor the pulse of the congregation, the involvement of people with respect to their knowledge of faith, their discipleship, and spiritual development through service and growth as individuals and as a congregation.
Essential components – children’s and family ministries, education coordinating council, congregational fellowship and community building, singles ministries and new members. View full position description.
Because this position has a large scope, the APCL necessarily will be a generalist directing programs and overseeing many hands-on specialists. The thrust of her or his ministry will entail developing programs across all aspects of the congregation to nurture the congregation as a whole. With the supervision and support of our Senior Pastor/Head of Staff, ways to meet these broad goals will be tailored to the APCL’s pastoral gifts and developing possibilities within the church.
